Our LAMDA Acting classes help children find their voice — literally!
Taught in small, supportive groups, these sessions develop confidence, communication and clear speech through acting, expression and performance.
Each week, students work on short scripts, poems and character pieces from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) syllabus — one of the UK’s most respected drama qualifications for young performers.

📚 What Happens in Class
Each class includes:
Fun warm-up games for voice and imagination
Acting exercises to explore characters and emotions
Work on short poems or monologues from the LAMDA syllabus
Opportunities to rehearse and perform with classmates
Classes are after school and run in small groups to ensure every student gets individual attention and encouragement.
🏅 About the LAMDA Exam
At the end of the year, students in Y1-Y2 can take a LAMDA Introductory Communication Exam. Students in Y3-Y6 can take a LAMDA Acting or Verse & Prose exam.
These are short, friendly one-to-one assessments where they perform the pieces they’ve learned in class.
Every student receives:
Personalised feedback from a LAMDA examiner
A graded certificate from LAMDA
A real sense of pride and achievement!
Exams are entirely optional — children can still enjoy all the benefits of class even without taking one.
