At Elizabeth Samuels Drama School, we offer three exciting ways for children to build confidence, creativity and performance skills — each with a slightly different focus.

🎭 LAMDA

A focused lesson in small groups that builds clear speech, expression and acting technique. Students prepare short monologues or poems and can take an accredited LAMDA exam at the end of the year to celebrate their progress.

Best for: children who like structure and want a certificate.
Group size: small groups
Outcome: LAMDA graded certificate.


🎬 Drama Club

A lively acting class packed with games, improvisation and scripts. Perfect for building confidence, teamwork and creativity. Students rehearse short scenes and share their work with families at the end of term.

Best for: confidence, creativity and pure acting.
Group size: medium to large groups.
Outcome: informal end-of-term sharing.


🎤 Performing Arts

Act, sing and dance in one high-energy class. Children learn choreography, songs and short scenes, then perform in a fun showcase or full theatre production. Ideal for children who enjoy music and movement as well as acting.

💬 FAQs

Can my child switch later?
Yes, just email us and we’ll help move them at the end of the term. We advise LAMDA students to stay for the full academic year since they are working towards an end of year exam in July.

Can they do more than one?
Absolutely. Many students do Drama or Performing Arts alongside LAMDA for the exam pathway.

Are there performances?
Drama and Performing Arts include informal sharings or showcases. LAMDA offers an accredited exam option.

How long are the classes?
Each class is 90 minutes.

What should my child bring?
Each class starts with snack time and a check-in. Please ensure your child has a healthy snack and water bottle.
